Opinion:
If I was to name the best Romanian djs and producers, the first place would surely belong to Livio, Roby & GeorgeG. Having started from zero, the trio released some progressive tracks under the name of Monochrome, winning contests and making the clubbers aware of their existence. Their style shifted towards a techno/tech-house approach and became friends with superstar Loco Dice, mixing throughout Europe, touring USA in a bus and releasing some tracks at Desolat. This is their first EP on this record label. And what an EP it is...
Let`s take a visual perspective. The vinyl is red and looks very nice that way. One of the labels is inscribed with the name and the tracklist, and the other has some multi-colored artwork (modern painting style :)) ). Sadly I did not receive a cover and I did not find on the Internet an example of how it looks. But let`s talk about the important part, the sound.
My favorite track is Equinox. It strikes you with a wicked bass line in the middle of the track that can make even the most uninterested fellow start moving his feet. Mistique is a good name for the first track as a voice sounding like a chant is used, making this song very original and nice to listen. Little Jasper Joe is very good for rocking the dance floor, but personally I prefer the former two. A solid release on one of my favorite labels.
